Double Disc Grinding

The double disc grinding process consists of 2 opposing abrasive wheels that will grind 2 sides of a blank, simultaneously taking off equal amounts of material on both sides. This allows us to have better control over tolerances, flatness and parallelism. We are able to hold tolerances to +/- .0002”, parallelism to .0002” and flatness to .0002. Double disc grinding provides surface finishes of up to 16 RMS on aluminum and up to 8 RM on ferrous alloys.
